Join us in visiting the SoCal area to connect with our Brothers and prominent Sheikhs. As we continue to seek beneficial knowledge and enjoy a variety of programs and activities.

Selection Process: (as we have limited spots)

- The first priority is given to regular halaqah participants.

- After they are cleared and if we still have available spots, we will select based on the personal statement.

After you sign up and if selected you will be invited to the information night to learn more about our Summer Retreat.

FAQs

Are there safety precautions that are being taken with regards to COVID-19?

We canceled our 2020 Retreat  due to health issues stemming from the outbreak so the safety of our group is our utmost concern in these uncertain times. We have strategies for a comprehensive health and safety plan to ensure we are doing our part to combat the spread of this disease and our group is safely able to travel on our retreat this summer. 

- Everyone in the group will be required to complete a questionnaire and submit it to COVID-19 testing that we administer on the day of departure and only those with negative results will be able to travel with the group.  

- We will work with facilities and accommodations that apply the highest standard of cleanliness in our retreat. 

- We will communicate the necessary information and best practices to protect against this disease.  

- We will do all we can in our control and place our trust in the mercy of Allah swt to protect us in our journey.

Is this for both Brothers & Sisters?

For the current time, Stronger Together Retreats are only available for the brother's program.

Why is the Personal Statement required? 

For a couple of reasons. We want to learn more about you and understand what you hope to benefit in this Retreat and see what you wish to contribute to our program. Secondly, due to limited space, we want to give an opportunity to our weekly Halaqah participants and select those who demonstrate a need to benefit from this program and are able to contribute to the overall experience of our Retreat. 

Are there any travel advisories or other requirements? 

There are currently no travel advisories to our destination in SoCal. Because this is not an intranational trip, there are no travel vaccinations required nor a Passport. Only a Valid State ID or Driver's License for travel. 

What is the purpose of Stronger Together Retreats and what should I look forward to?

The purpose of our year-round retreats organized by our brothers in Stronger Together Initiatives with the will of the Allah swt is to undertake Islamic-themed journeys throughout the country in building relationships and seeking beneficial knowledge. You should look forward to this experience as travel and undertaking journeys together strengthen our bonds of brotherhood and exposes us to explore the world in order to gain new insights and become well-rounded in our understandings.

What is Included in the program?

The program, flight, hotel, and transportation in SoCal.

I live in a state outside of the current Stronger Together presence. Can I participate?

Stronger Together as a collective is open to everyone, we believe in inclusivity as a part of our Islamic values. However, as a matter of logistical planning. It will not be possible for us to accommodate individuals outside of Minnesota for now. Inshallah, we hope to have more states and communities join us in this kheir and look forward to welcoming all brothers.
